George Hotz (aka Geohot) dropped a hint that he plans to release a tool that will allow users to jailbreak any iPhone and iPod Touch running any version of iPhone OS, which came as welcome news for Windows users as currently there is no tool available to jailbreak the iPhone for Windows users.
Windows users who have been waiting to jailbreak their iPhone might have another reason to rejoice as a team of iPhone developers are porting PwnageTool to Windows. The Windows version will be called Sn0wBreeze.
PwnageTool developed by the iPhone Dev Team allows users to jailbreak their iPhone 2G or iPhone 3G running iPhone OS 3.1. In case of iPhone 3GS, PwnageTool allows users to upgrade to iPhone OS 3.1 only if they've jailbroken/pwned iPhone 3GS. And it's available only for Mac users.
One of the developers of Sn0wBreeze, ih8sn0w tweeted:
The new project that we are working on is sn0wbreeze. It is basically PwnageTool for Windows. Our ETA is October 12.
We will ask for Beta Testers as soon as we have a stable build ready!

According to the developer, since they are porting PwnageTool to Windows, it will allow iPhone 2G/iPhone 3G running iPhone OS 3.1 to jailbreak their iPhone and in case of iPhone 3GS, it will only work if you’ve jailbroken your iPhone 3GS. So iPhone users who have accidentally upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 will have to wait for Geohot to release his jailbreaking tool.
Please note that ih8sn0w has issued a warning that there are tons of fake PwnageTool for Windows and even Sn0wBreeze, which could contain a Malware or Trojans so please be careful.
